A deviousWishlist for 2011

“Dear Santa…”

… A deviousWishlist!
by (*chanimations and deviousMind
======

As most of you know already, I was able to successfully capture a christmas elf last year which was found lurking around deviousMind sim. We had our fun and playtime, anyhow long story short, in the end could strike out a deal for some early xMas present deliveries (Blackmailing Santa’s Elf with possibly sending the photos to the Boss did prove rather efficient!).

Turns out, said elf is some sort of Chief Elf Christmas Executive (in short: CECE) at the company now, so it’s just reasonable to assume that last year’s blackmailing practice will be even more successfully this year! *evilgrin* So same as the past season, you will find a little mailbox at deviousMind waiting for your wishlist!

HERE’S THE RULES:
——————–

Write Santa a few short lines. If we— um… HE likes what he reads you might get your wish fullfilled!

Your notecard must contain the following information:

  • A short note to Santa why you deserve presents
  • Your full SL name inside the notecard
  • One item you’ve always wanted but never got out of our stores!Please look up the name of the item, if needed you can find most
    on the marketplace or our blog. And of course deviousMind sim!
    [Applies to any single item valued below 2000L from deviousBeauty,
    (*chanimations, and deviousPoses (adult)]
  • Name your notecard “2011-12-[date] Dear Santa…” and it’s going to be part of our daily drawing!
    IMPORTANT: Notecard name MAY NOT include your avatar name!
  • Only notecards dropped in the mailbox will be considered – please don’t sending any to my avatar!
  • DAILY DEADLINE:
    ——————

    You turn your notecard in by dropping it into the mailbox right above the fireplace at (*chanimations main theater stage. Unfortunately my schedule varies dramatically this year, so the deadline will be fluctuating slightly every day – I’ll empty the mailbox between NOON SLT (12pm) and 3pm SLT though.

    The winner is drawn each day from all notecards received. Once entered, your notecard will be part of the drawing each day until christmas. Of course unless you won something, then you’re out :-) Everybody can win only once.

    GOOD LUCK!

    Winter is right around the corner, and with the masses of white fluffy snow, it just seams reasonable to combat the cold with hottness – in season appropriate snowy pastel colors, naturally.

    GoodGirl_Ad_marketplace_MINTIf you think you recognize the overall style of the costume, you probably do: Inspiration was taken from Ali Rose’s costume in the movie “Burlesque” (2010, Musical starring Christina Aguilera and Cher). But of course it got it’s devious twist to it to match all sorts of “good girls” *winks* and needs of SL’s burlesque performers!

    This burlesque release varies noticably from our usual deviousBeauty color spectrum and is available beyond the ‘original’ movie shade, **BLUSH**, in 6 further colors **PEARL**, **COFFEE**, **HONEY**, **LILAC**, **MINT**, **ONYX**, and of course in a **PASTEL PACK* which includes all pieces in all colors!

    The illustrated outfit consists of a variety of different items and clothing layers, to allow for the most flexibility when styling your avatar. The shiney ruffled satin corset can be worn with or without a holderneck option and ranges from modest to way more daring depending on if you choose to cover up with elegant rhinestones cups, or go cupless with pasties and tassles instead. The matching fluffy feather skirt comes in two parts to allow you wearing it as little ballerina tutu or with the full feather tail combined. It includes a little flower bud attachment to go with the frilly undies, as well as a softly shaded stockings option. And to give it the final 20s classy touch, the costume includes a bowler hat in two versions.

    Those attachments that may require resizing can be adjusted by touch through a resize and stretch menu. Please see included notecard for details.

    Shoes are NOT part of the costume – worn for the ad are different releases by other SL creators.

    As well included is an UPDATE CHECK to keep you up to date with every piece of this outfit – please find all details of content after the content listing.

    “Honeytrap”
    Burlesque Couture for Halloween
    by !dM deviousMind
    ======

    An all time classic for Halloween or Carneval is of course the bee costume with its wide range from hot to sweet. Our devious bee would of course wrap her body into those sexy stripes in latex form. With a lot of playfulness and let’s not forget sting – so definitely go hot *winks*! Considering all that, it was easy to decide on “Honeytrap” as our 3rd costume release at deviousBeauty for Halloween 2011 – bee Burlesque!

    This illustrated costume consists of a variety of different items and clothing layers, to allow for utmost flexibility when styling your avatar. The glossy latex corset comes with attachments for underbust ruffles and different options for a little ruffle skirt around its bottom seam. Combine it with tape x-pasties, or add a slightly sheer honeycomb latex top with 1/2 g sleeves and the matching honeycomb hotpants, garter and stockings. Or skip the corset completely and rather go with a little ruffle miniSkirt?

    Aside for many more bees to attach to chest, garter or buzzing around those frills, the set includes fingerless black gloves or striped armwraps with matching ruffles at wrists and upper arms, and comes of course with all your standard bee parts: antennas, stinger and wings in different versions. To make it complete, the costume includes some honey pots with more bees as head dress, sculpted ankle boots with ruffles, straps and stripes, and a gorgeously sculpted latex posture collar.

    Those attachments that may require resizing can be adjusted by touch through a resize & stretch menu. Please see included notecard for details.

    As well included is an UPDATE CHECK to keep you up to date with every piece of this outfit – please read all information at the end of the content listing.

    “VoodooDoll”
    Burlesque Couture for Halloween
    by !dM deviousMind
    ======

    For Halloween Season 2011, we’d like to take you to a journey to where our world meets that of the other side. Our new costume spins around the idea of voodoo, one of the major religions of Haiti, Africa and a few other parts of the world. “Vodou” has come to be associated in popular culture with the lore of evoking dark powers, zombies and of course the use of “voodoo dolls” to harm others – all rather fitting themes for Halloween, although those concepts are to the most rather far from the religion’s true nature. Likely this misconception is connected to the deep belief in spirits and other aspects that are alien and scary to us: Ritual dances, tribal fetishes and participants in rituals becoming “possessed by the spirits” come to mind. It’s a long read if you’re interested in the history, and we’d suggest you to take some time and read into it :)

    Anyhow – it’s Halloween. And anything that is scary is good for this time of year! So wrap yourself into some mysticism and throw those feathers and skulls on for a night where worlds collide.

    This illustrated outfit consists of a variety of different items and clothing layers, to allow for flexibility when styling your avatar. And of course with a touch of burlesque if you so choose! The ragged leopard skirt comes in two versions, one plain, and one with highly detailed voodoo paraphernalia like bird skulls, pouches, lots of feathers and the infamous voodoo doll tagged to the belt. Wear it with a little bit of leapard fur nothingness, a richly detailed corset with attaching bone ties, or a red top tied to the tribal neckpiece which comes in 3 different versions from more plain to extravagant fancy with long pheasant feathers. Or simply burlesque – with tiny skull pasties ;) And to make it complete, the costume includes body paint on tattoo layers for face and body, a richly detailed fetish headDress, ritual staff and bangles for wrists and arm bands.

    Those attachments that may require resizing can be adjusted by touch through a resize menu. Please see included notecard for details.

    Burlesque Couture for Halloween v2.0.1
    by !dM deviousMind
    ======

    Right after Halloween follows another holiday to allow you to bring out those gorgeous costumes: El Dia de los Muertos, the day of the dead. Predominantly celebrated with brightly colored street decorations and costumes in Mexico, the traditions of this holiday is spread into the US and carried by Mexican migrants all over the world. So we’d like to join in the celebration with our own little corpse bride inspired neo-burlesque creation! (And we’re pretty sure some of the possible costume combinations with this set would be likely a bit too burlesque for the original holiday – but it had to give you some options for the stage, right? *winks*)

    This illustrated costume consists of a variety of different items and clothing layers, to allow you utmost flexibility when styling your avatar. Aside from base clothing pieces like stockings, pantyhose and satin panties, you will find little skull pasties to go with a frilly ornatmented corset, or if you prefer more covered up, a bodice/corset combination with roses, bones and skulls giving the perfect finish. And of course with a tutu inspired bridal skirt and veil, 3 different options of sleeves and attachments for the garter clips. And to make it all perfect, 4 different shades of a traditional facemakeup!
    For Halloween 2011, “Little Lenore”s darker sister “Black Lenore” was released. We’ve updated the costume to version 2.0.1 and included a second attachment option with contrasting skulls, and of course some Halloween-appropriate bit of blood and gore spread over layers and the wedding dress pieces. (Please see full list of content and properties in the following – the face makeup requires a tattoo layer compatible viewer. Shoes are NOT part of the costume – worn for the ad are different releases by other SL creators.)

    All pieces are divided in three sub-boxes to manage the chaos a bit better, so you will find the following that need unpacking still:

    What lies Ahead and Deep Below…

    ======================
    Halloween is on its way!
    ======================

    …and of course the computer is smoking already from working on all the new goodies :D

    It’s not quite time for release yet, but I couldn’t hold it back any longer so here’s the first official tease for our upcoming costumes for Halloween Season 2011!

    Elise (our sim’s lovely-and-totally-non-creepy *cough cough* cupcake-lady from Cupcakes & Poetry) and me declared this time of year clearly the deviousSeason. *nods nods* Anyway, we’re building stuff like mad and there will be a ton of new things out over the next weeks :)

    What the spirits will reveal…
    —————————

    Currently 2 new costumes for deviousBeauty are done! Well, prototype-wise at least, still needs to be split on layers and boxed and all that good stuff ;D Also a set for (*chanimations which had been an exclusive gift for last Halloween’s photo contest winners, will be officially released this year. So it’s been waiting for quite a while now to be let loose – litterally! :D

    As usual, there is more stuff I’m working on at moment but not far enough yet to give any hints what it will be ;) Planned is a bunch though, so keep watching notices and our blog for hints, teasers and release dates :D

    Oh wait, did I mention yet? Halloween is coming! *jumps up and down all excitedly*

    In the meantime…
    ———————-

    I really don’t upload pictures that often… so here’s an early new year’s resolution to do some pure picture posts from time to time again :D

    fishBabes_032_900

    While you usually see the vendor pictures of the things I create (unless you follow my flickr), there’s actually really those occasions where we go out to “just” take pictures *laughs* In the following some of the shots with “The Siren’s Song”:

    Admitted… the one above is an obvious left-over from the ad shooting starring (*chanimations SirenRock (aboveSurface) prop with poses from “The Siren’s Song” release, and *Deviance* Mermaid Tails “Fairy Moss” (green) as well as goldfish “Orange Crush”, both wearing the matching Shell Tops (tails and tops are sold separately either as color packs, color lines or individual packs). The 3rd mermaid costume comes from Evie’s Closet, named “Lumina”.

    Location: my photo plattform, windlight settings and graphics programm lol.

    DeepwaterFish_028_900

    Deep Down Below:
    ——————–

    DeepwaterFish_003_portraitCrop800

    Since the pose prop comes with 3 different versions and only (aboveSurface) found its way on the vendor poster, I went out another day to take some shots of the underwater build. Of course it wasn’t that difficult to find the perfect fish conspirator who, on top of it all, had excellent knowledge of underwater location scouting ;D So we ended up at LEA sandbox with perfectly many underwater locations :D

    My fish of choice here is more of the deep water kind, so the *Deviance* tail and shell top got combined with an old avatar I got in 2008 from Tekeli-li named “Anglerfish” (it is still available). The avatar comes with the skin and your personal anglerfish buddie to swim along with you :D (you see him somewhere further down in one of the pictures)

    Chic is wearing a free mermaid outfit, you’ll find all details (and more pictures of our shooting) in her blog post here!

    For the record, plan some time underwater cause turns out your favorite windlight settings are with a 99% chance total trash under the watersurface. Surprisingly, making good and somewhat realistic light settings down there is damn hard :D I ended up using Torley’s “HORROR” settings as a basis and started tweaking sliders from there.
